https://nftcalendar.io/ is one of the most popular, with about a million monthly visits right now:
And https://nftcal.xyz/ is a really nicely made site, albeit with far less adoption and traffic, that has a nice newsletter you can subscribe to to get notified of upcoming mints.
Neither of these target exclusively free mints - would love to hear what everyone else is using in the space!
I'm not sure if it is the best site, but you can use https://exodia.io/mints to see ongoing mints and evaluate how fast they're minting
I don't know if this is the best website but I love to use it https://whatsminting.live not only does it allow us to see what NFTs are minting right now but it also allows us to see which collections are minting for free and you can mint NFTs for free but even if you're minting an NFT for free still you have to pay the gas fees. Hope it helps :)
