Is it possible to delete a NFT/Contract?

Is there an option to delete a NFT or a contract? (by the creator? By the current owner?) If some one buys a NFT, then he owns it – can he decide to "destroy" it and remove it from the blockchain?

There's no way to delete something once it's deployed. The only way to get rid of an NFT is to send it to the trash can of the blockchain or the burn address. Select transfer on Opensea and send it to the following wallet: 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It#s still visible it's just in a different wallet, a wallet where everybody sends unwanted NFTs to. You can also just hide them in your OS wallet. On first sight there are not visible but can be searched for with your wallet activity

No - when something has been deployed to the blockchain you are not able to edit or delete it.

This would be basically sending it to the burn address

u have to be the collection creator and hold all the tokens still to be able to “delete” the collection

by delete, you mean send it to the burn address? Or something else?

As others have mentioned, assuming the contract doesn't have any weirdness, sending it to the burn address would "destroy" it as it would be unrecoverable. The contract itself will never be deleted though as it's not possible to go back in time and change the blockchain to remove it.
