How can I work on two Metamask wallets on one computer?
Hi there, I would need a new Metamask wallet for minting purposes. Is there any way I can switch between two different Metamask wallets on one computer? I currently work with the Metamask extension for google Chrome on my MacBook, in case that would matter. I set up another chrome account, so when switching between the two chrome accounts I can also switch between my two Metamask wallets. This solution works but is a little bit annoying in my opinion, so I wanted to know if there is any easier solution? Would be great to get some other ideas - thanks in advance :)

Good question and the answer is simple, if you are using google chrome just create a new profile. You will just have to reinstall the Metamask extension on this newly created profile.
You can either have many accounts in the same chrome extension, or create a new profile on chrome or install metamask on another browser like brave or firefox.
If you just click the little profile circle at the top right of your wallet when you open the metamask Chrome extension you can choose another wallet or create new ones. Then you can click it in the future to switch between them in the same browser.
Two shakes and I’ll be back to my computer to check. There should be an option to add another wallet. May be in a different spot on the Mac.
So just to make sure, when you click on this little circle at the top right, you don't see all these options like create account, import account, etc..?
Hi @Eddefies#4959, yes I see those options. The thing is, that with a new account, I do not need a new seed phrase nor a new password. So my thought was, when my "Account 2" gets hacked, my whole wallet and also my "Account 1" will be compromised. So this is why I need a completely new wallet, don't I, in order to have a "minting" wallet where I would not care so much if it gets hacked?
Ahhh I get where you’re coming from now. Generally when your wallet is compromised it’s not because they get your seedphrase but basically trick you into creating some authorization into a specific account wallet aka (wallet 2 if it was your minting wallet.) Compromising the seedphrase or gaining access through the password means they more than likely have access to your computer through malware, key logging, etc… At this point I’ve seen people make several wallets inside an account so they can use a fresh one for each mint. The downside are the transaction costs but then transferring meaningful items to their main account in the wallet and then finally moving to hardware storage such as a ledger. As you said though if your goal is to use a whole new account the easiest ways have been mentioned above. Creating new Chrome profiles you have to sign in and out of or I have a metamask on my Chrome and then a separate one on my IE so I can choose which browser to use based on my needs.
If you want a totaly new wallet, with a different seed, but don't want to change your chrome profile each time, then you can install a wallet on a different browser like Edge. This way you can have separate wallets on different browsers.

But when I click on my profile circle I can only click "logout" - this does not log me out completely. I only would need to insert my password again but I am not able to create a new metamask wallet. Or am I missing something here? Where exactly do I need to click to log in into another wallet?
