I personally own a Trezor Model T that I use for my personal wallets, but also have a Ledger Nano S for CATC stuff, and I personally much prefer the ease-of-use of the touchscreen on the Trezor. However, both wallets work perfectly well for regular use cases. Both are good products, and it's mostly up to personal preference.

One thing is that you can't connect your phone to a Trezor, so you'll need to use a computer to interface with it. If this isn't a concern, great. If you need to connect to your phone, get a Ledger.

There is very little difference between the two, Trezor is touch screen and has a nice software that goes with it. Ledger has bluetooth and a software but it isn't as nice as Trezors. In the end, both are great products and it wouldn't matter which one you chose, its mainly preference

Really good question! Super hard to answer. For me, the pros and cons of each are as follows:

Pros:

Trezor Model T: Much easier to have stronger security with a passphrase on top of your seed phrase. Using an optional passphrase means that even if someone steals your seed phrase, they still can't access all your funds.

You can enter this passphrase directly on your computer instead of on the device, which makes it way easier to create a secure passphrase unlike on the Ledger, where it's near impossible to type in the passphrase on the device itself. For more info: https://wiki.trezor.io/Passphrase

This protects against the $5 wrench attack, as noted in the link above, as you can have unlimited hidden wallets using different passphrases as well!

Ledger Nano X: Has Bluetooth, so you can connect it to your phone!

Cons:

Trezor Model T: Slightly less adoption and support than Ledger, so slower to have support for new Ethereum features and other things (EIP-1559 transactions took quite a while longer to support on Trezor with MetaMask than Ledger, as one example).

No way to connect it to your phone, so can only use it with a computer, which is a bit of a bummer.

Ledger Nano X: Worse hardware UI - the Trezor Model T with its touchscreen is a real joy to use. Also near impossible as mentioned above to actually type in a secure passphrase on the device itself.

Hope that helps! Ultimately, I personally use a Trezor Model T, and my vote is for a Trezor Model T if you almost exclusively use your computer for transactions on your hardware wallet, and for a Ledger Nano X if you mostly use your phone!

Hey Jono! Both works really good. Never had trouble with any. They work the same way. Ledger is a bit more fancy and looks cooler and more fashion imo

When i was evaluating between the two, the price differential (Ledger being cheaper) with most everything else being the same led me initially to the Ledger. In my case the Ledger has bluetooth making it easier to use with my phone if I'm in some crazy situation where I don't have access to my computer. That additional point pushed me into the Ledger camp.

Great question!

Yet another Ledger Nano X user's opinion:

I like the ledger, and they're actively developing their product too. Recently the Ledger live got a new overhaul and I can manage my NFTs from my phone or computer. The Nano X also displays some really amazing information about the transaction / signature requests too. I'd suggest checking it out in my post HERE

I've honestly never had any issues with it and it seems to be the most popular hardware wallet too. If you do decide on a Ledger, you can use Zeneca's referral link which will be 100% re-invested into the community. Side note: I dont have a Trezor.
